  • Water – 1 cup

  • Basmati or any long-grain rice – ½ cup
  • Fresh Cilantro – ½ cup
  • Fresh Mint – ½ cup
  • Green chillies – 2-3
  • Vegetable oil – 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Hing powder – ¼ tsp
  • Water – 1 cup
  • Salt to taste

Method for Allergy-Free Tri-Colour Recipe:

Method for Saffron Rice: Golden Glory

  • Heat a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they crackle, add hing powder and tomato puree.
  • Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt to taste, and give a quick mix.
  • Add washed rice and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  • Pour in water, mix well, cover, and cook for 8-10 minutes on medium heat. Ensure the rice doesn’t burn.

White Rice: Classic Simplicity Recipe Method

  • Heat a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them crackle, then add hing powder.
  • Add washed rice and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  • Pour in water, mix well, cover, and cook for 8-10 minutes on medium heat. Ensure the rice doesn’t burn.
