Dry fruits modak is a healthy and delicious twist on the traditional Indian sweet modak.  Ingredients: For Vegan dry fruit modak Recipe

  1. Dry Figs – 1 and ½ cup
  2. Dates – finely chopped – ½ cup
  3. Almonds – finely chopped – ½ cup
  4. Pumpkin seeds – finely chopped – ½ cup
  5. Cardamom powder – ½ TSP
  6. Vegetable oil – 1 TSP

How to Make Gluten-free homemade dry fruit modak Recipe Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Chop the dry figs roughly.
  2. In a pan heat water. Bring it to boil. Mix the chopped figs in it. Make sure all the figs are immersed in water. Boil for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Drain the water. Puree the figs in a blender.
  4. Heat a pan on medium heat. Add the pureed figs to it. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Make sure the figs don’t stick to the bottom of the pan.
  5. Once the figs cool down add chopped dates , almonds , pumpkin seeds and cardamom powder. Mix well.
  6. Take a lemon size ball of the mixture and mold it in the shape of a modak using a modak mold.
