Ingredients For Vegan Tofu Bhurji
- Tofu - finely grated - 1 cup
- Onion- finely chopped - 1 small
- Tomato finely chopped - 1
- Green chillies - finely chopped 3-4
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 TBSP
- Garam masala powder - 1 TSP
- Black mustard seeds - 1 Tsp
- Cumin seeds - 1 Tsp
- Hing powder - 1/4 Tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp
- Vegetable Oil - 1 TBSP
- Salt to taste.
- Cilantro finely chopped for garnishing.
Method For Preparing Vegan Tofu Bhurji
- Heat a Pan on medium flame. Once hot add oil.
- Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds. Once they splutter , add the cumin seeds and hing powder.
- Add green chillies.
- Add Onions and saute till they turn translucent.
- Add finely chopped tomatoes and saute well till they turn mushy.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and saute well for another 3-4 minutes or till the raw smell of garlic is gone.
- Add the other masalas - turmeric powder , garam masala powder . Mix well and saute the masalas for 3-4 minutes. Add Salt to taste and mix well.
- Add grated tofu. Mix well. Cover and cook the tofu for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish finely chopped cilantro. Serve hot with roti or paratha or naan or bread tastes really good with this bhurji.
