Ingredients: For Vegan Rajma Masala recipe

  1. Rajma - Soaked overnight - 1 and 1/2 cup
  2. Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP
  3. Cumin seeds - 1 Tsp
  4. Hing powder - 1/4 Tsp
  5. Ginger - garlic paste - TBSP
  6. Onion - finely chopped - 1
  7. Tomato - puree - 2 big tomatoes
  8. Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp
  9. Red chili powder - 1 Tsp
  10. Garam Masala - 1 TBSP
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Water - 2-3 cups

How to Make homemade veganrajma masala Recipe Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. In a pressure cooker add soaked rajma , salt and water . Pressure cook for 3-4 whistles .
  2. In a Pot add oil. Once hot add cumin seeds , hing powder , ginger garlic paste and saute for a minute. Add onions and saute till they turn translucent .
  3. Add turmeric powder , red chili powder , garam masala powder and saute for another minute or two.
  4. Add tomato puree and saute well till the sides start to leave oil.
  5. Add cooked Rajma along with the water. Mix well. Add salt to taste and mix well. Simmer on low heat for 10-15 minutes.
  6. Garnish with finely chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice.
