Ingredients For Vegan Moong Dal Chilla
- Moong Dal - soaked for 4-5 hours - 1/2 cup
- Ginger - 1/2 inch
- Green chilies - 2-3
- Cilantro - finely chopped
- Onion - finely chopped - 1
- Coriander seeds powder - 1 Tsp
- Cumin seeds powder - 1 Tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp
- Salt to taste
- Water to adjust the consistency.
- Vegetable oil - 1 -2 TBSP
How To makae Vegan Moong Dal chilla -
- Wash and soak the moong dal overnight or for at least 4-5 hours.
- Add the soaked dal in a grinder jar , add ginger , green chilies , Add 1-2 TBSP water and grind into a smooth paste.
- Add onion and cilantro. Add coriander - cumin seeds powder , turmeric powder and salt to taste and mix well. Get the batter to pancake like consistency.
- Heat a skillet on medium heat. Pour a spoonful of batter . Cook for 2-3 minutes or till it gets a nice golden color . Add a few drops of oil on top. Flip and cook from the other side for 2-3 minutes. Remove from the skillet.
- Serve hot with your choice of chutney , pickle or ketchup.
