- Gavar / Cluster beans - chopped - 2 cups
- Potato - cubed - 1/2 cup
- Onion - finely chopped - 1
- Black mustard seeds - 1 Tsp
- cumin seeds - 1 Tsp
- Hing powder - 1/4 Tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp
- Red Chilli powder - 1 Tsp
- Goda Masala or Garam Masala - 1 TBSP
- Vegetable Oil - 1 TBSP
- Salt to taste.
- Jaggery - 1/2 Tsp
- Water - 1/2 cup
- Freshly grated coconut - 1/4 cup
- Freshly chopped cilantro for garnishing.
How To Make Gavar Batata Bhaji Recipe Step By Step Instruction
- Heat a Pan on medium flame. Once hot add oil.
- Once the oil is hot add mustard seeds. Once they splutter, add cumin seeds and hing powder.
- Add Onions and saute till they turn translucent.
- Add gavar and potato and mix well.
- Add turmeric powder , chili powder, goda or garam masala, salt to taste. Mix well and saute for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add 2-3 TBSP water. Cover and let it cook till veggies are cooked. Add freshly grated coconut and mix well.
- Garnish with finely chopped cilantro and serve hot with roti or rice.
