  1. Daliya / cracked wheat - 1/2 cup
  2. Water - 1 cup
  3. Non-dairy milk - Hot - 1 cup
  4. Jaggery / Gur - 1/2 cup
  5. Freshly grated coconut - 1/4 cup
  6. Cardamom / Elaichi powder - 1/2 Tsp
  7. Nutmeg / Jaiphal - 1/2 Tsp
  8. Salt - 1/8 Tsp.

How to Make homemade vegan Daliya Kheer Recipe Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. In a pan heat add vegetable oil on medium flame. Once warm daliya. Roast till daliya starts releasing color and changes to a nice golden color.
  2. Add water and salt to taste . Cover and cook on low flame for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add hot non dairy milk . Mix well. Get to a nice boil. Add cardamom powder and nutmeg powder and mix well.
  4. Add jaggery and stir till jaggery melts completely . Cover and cook on low flame for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Serve hot.
