Quick , easy , simple recipe. Can be save a rainy day or can be served as a delicacy.
Ingredients:
- Basmati Rice - 1 cup
- Mix vegetables of your choice - 1 cup
- Shahi Biryani masala - 2 TBSP
- Water - 2 cups
- Vegetable oil - 1 Tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Jeera / cummin seeds - 1 tsp
- Asafoetida - 1/4 Tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 Tsp
Method :
- I made this in instapot alternative same can be made in pressure cooker.
- Heat oil . Once oil is hot add cumin seeds , asafoetida .
- Add vegetables saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add turmeric powder , shahi biryani masala, salt and mix well.
- Add rice saute for another 2-3 minutes.
- Add water mix well.
- In Instapot cancel the saute mode and pressure cooker mode on high for 6 minutes. Vent closed.
- Let the steam rest for 10 minutes and then release the stem.
- If making in pressure cooker , cook for 3 whitsles.
- Serve hot with raita or dal or papad and pickle.
