Ingredients For Vegan Palak Puri Recipe
- Wheat flour - 1 cup
- Spinach / Palak puree - 1/2 cup
- Red chili powder - 1 TSP
- Coriander powder - 1 TSP
- Cumin seeds powder- 1 Tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 TSP
- Salt to taste
- 3/4 cup Water
- Oil for frying
How To Make Palak Puri Recipe
- In a bowl, take spinach puree , wheat flour.
- Add red chili powder, coriander powder, Cumin seeds powder, turmeric powder and salt. Mix the dry spices well with flour.
- Add a little water at a time and knead thick dough. Dont add much water at a time.
- Grease the dough with a little oil and transfer the dough into a bowl.
- Cover and give it a standing time of 30-45 minutes.
- After about an hour, take the dough out and knead once more.
- You can make small balls and roll them into puris. Do not make too thin or thick , medium thickness puris.
- Until you roll the puris, heat up oil in a pan for frying.
- When puris are ready to transfer them into a dish.
- When oil is hot enough, lower the heat to low.
- Drop one puri into hot oil. After dropping, press it a little with a ladle.
- When fried well from one side, flip over and fry from another side as well.
- Remove the puri from hot oil, drain excess oil and put it on a tissue paper.
- You can make 10-12 medium size puris from 1 cup wheat flour.
