Ingredients For Dadpe Poha
- Poha thin / Puffed flattened thin rice - 1 cup
- Onion - finely chopped - 1
- Tomato - finely chopped - 2
- Freshly grated coconut - 1/2 cup
- Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP
- Black mustard seeds - 1 TSP
- Hing powder - 1/4 TSP
- Green chillies - finely chopped - 2-3
- Curry leaves - 4-5
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 TSP
- Salt to taste
- Finely chopped cilantro for garnishing.
Method For Preparing Dadpe Poha
- Dry roast the poha on medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until till they get nice crisp. This helps dish get the crunch in the bite.
- Add freshly grated coconut and mix well. Keep aside for 4-5 minutes.
- Add cut onions and tomatoes. Mix well.
- For tempering - Heat a small pan or kadai. Add oil. Once hot add mustard seeds. Add hing powder . Add green chillies and curry leaves. Saute for a minute. Add turmeric powder.
- Add the tempering to Poha . Mix well. Add salt to taste and mix well.
- Garnish with finely chopped cilantro.
- To make it more tangier you can also add cut small pieces of raw mango.
