Ingredients For Dadpe Poha

  1. Poha thin / Puffed flattened thin rice - 1 cup
  2. Onion - finely chopped - 1
  3. Tomato - finely chopped - 2
  4. Freshly grated coconut - 1/2 cup
  5. Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP
  6. Black mustard seeds - 1 TSP
  7. Hing powder - 1/4 TSP
  8. Green chillies - finely chopped - 2-3
  9. Curry leaves - 4-5
  10. Turmeric powder - 1/2 TSP
  11. Salt to taste
  12. Finely chopped cilantro for garnishing.

Method For Preparing Dadpe Poha

  1. Dry roast the poha on medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until till they get nice crisp. This helps dish get the crunch in the bite.
  2. Add freshly grated coconut and mix well. Keep aside for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Add cut onions and tomatoes. Mix well.
  4. For tempering - Heat a small pan or kadai. Add oil. Once hot add mustard seeds. Add hing powder . Add green chillies and curry leaves. Saute for a minute. Add turmeric powder.
  5. Add the tempering to Poha . Mix well. Add salt to taste and mix well.
  6. Garnish with finely chopped cilantro.
  7. To make it more tangier you can also add cut small pieces of raw mango.
