Ingredients - For Cake Pre-Mix

  1. Maida / All purpose flour - 2 cups
  2. Powdered sugar - 1 cup
  3. Corn flour - 1/4 cup
  4. Baking Powder - 2 Tsp
  5. Baking Soda - 1 Tsp
  6. Salt - 1/2 Tsp

Method - For Cake - Pre-Mix

Add all the ingredients and sieve them to make sure there are no lumps. Mix well and store in an airtight container.

Vanilla Cake from Pre-mix -

Ingredients -

  1. Cake Pre-Mix - 1/2 cup
  2. Vegetable oil - cup
  3. Non-dairy milk - cup
  4. Vanilla essence - 1 Tsp
  5. Lemon juice - 1/2 Tsp

Method -

  1. Preheat the oven at about 150 c/300F.
  2. In a bowl add cake premix , oil and add non-dairy milk as needed. Mix well and make sure there are no lumps. The batter should not be very runny and should be of pouring consistency.
  3. Add vanilla essence and lemon juice and give a nice mix.
  4. Pour the batter in a greased baking tin. Bake the cake for 20-25 minutes or until a skewer or toothpick comes out clean.
  5. Let the cake cool down completely and then remove it from the baking tin.
