Ingredients For Vegan Bhajani Chakali
- Chakali Bhajani flour - 2 cups
- Water - Hot - 2 cups
- Sesame seeds - 1 TBSP ( Optional)
- Red Chilli powder - 1 TBSP
- Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp
- Oil - Hot - 1/4 cup
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying.
Method -
- In a pot add bhajani flour , turmeric powder , red chili powder , sesame seeds and salt to taste. Mix well. Add hot oil and mix well. Rub the flour carefully till the flour holds shape.
- Add hot water little at a time and knead into a dough. Cover and let it rest for 30-40 minutes.
- Knead the dough again , add hot water if necessary and knead a chapati dough. Add it to the chakli maker and make the chakali in the desired shape.
- Deep fry chakalis till it gets a light brown color from both sides.
