Ingredients for Jeera Aloo -
- Potato - boiled and cut into pieces - 2
- Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP
- Jeera / cumin seeds - 2 Tsp
- Hing - 1 Tsp
- Whole red chilies - 2-3
- Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp
- Red chili powder - 1 Tsp
- Salt to taste.
Method - Jeera Aloo
- In a pan, heat oil on medium heat. Once hot , add jeera , hing and whole red chilies. Give a quick stir.
- Add boiled potatoes and mix well. Add turmeric powder , chili powder , salt to taste and mix well. Simmer on low heat for 2-3 minutes.
Ingredients for Aloo Capsicum -
- Potato - boiled and cut into pieces - 2
- Capsicum - cut in cubes - 1
- Tomato - cut in cubes - 1
- Onion - cut in cubes -1
- Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP
- Mohri / Mustard seeds - 1 Tsp
- Jeera / cumin seeds - 1 Tsp
- Hing - 1 Tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp
- Red chili powder - 1 Tsp
- Coriander seeds powder - 1 Tsp
- Cumin seeds powder - 1/2 Tsp
- Salt to taste.
Method - Aloo Capsicum
- In a pan, heat oil on medium heat. Once hot , add mustard seeds , jeera , hing. Add onion and saute till they turn translucent.
- Add capsicum and stir. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add boiled potatoes and mix well. Add turmeric powder , chili powder , coriander seeds powder , cumin seeds powder , salt to taste and mix well.
- Add cut potatoes and mix well. Simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes.
Ingredients for Aloo Palak -
- Potato - boiled and cut into pieces - 2
- Spinach - finely chopped - 1 cup
- Tomato - cut in cubes - 1
- Onion - cut in cubes -1
- Garlic - finely chopped - 2-3 cloves
- Vegetable oil - 1 TBSP
- Jeera / cumin seeds - 1 Tsp
- Hing - 1 Tsp
- Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp
- Red chili powder - 1 Tsp
- Salt to taste.
Method - Aloo Palak
- In a pan, heat oil on medium heat. Once hot , add jeera , hing. Add onion and saute till they turn translucent. Add tomatoes and salt to taste. Saute till they turn mushy.
- Add spinach and boiled potato mix well .
- Add turmeric powder , chili powder , and mix well.
- Simmer on low heat for 5-7 minutes.
