Ingredients For Vegan Tuvar Dal Recipe
- Tuvar Dal / Split pigeon pea – 2 cups
- Hing / Asafoetida – 1/2 Tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1 Tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1 TSP
- Cumin seeds – 1 Tbsp
- Red chilli powder – 1 Tsp
- Maharashtrian goda masala – 1 TSP
- Tamarind paste – ½ TSP
- Jaggery – 1 TBSP
- Vegetable oil – 1 Tbsp
- salt to taste
- water to adjust consistency.
How To Make Vegan Tuvar Dal Recipe
- Wash the dal thoroughly , add 1/4 tsp hing powder , turmeric powder , 2 cups water. Pressure cook for 3 whistles on medium flame.
- For Tampering heat a pan on medium heat. Add oil. Once hot add mustard seeds , cumin seeds , after they tamper add hing powder.
- Add the boiled dal and mix well. Add water to adjust consistency.
